Flandria is the Belgian quality label for fruit and vegetabes. It is used by the 6 largest fruit and vegetable auctions which are members of LAVA. Since it was founded in 1995, the Flandria label has added value to fresh produce. The quality label guarantees environmentally aware growing, quality and freshness.
The Flandria story started with tomatoes and chicory. Now almost 60 products are covered by the label. On the one hand, the product assortment consists of typical Belgian outdoor vegetables, such as chicory, sprouts and asparagus. On the other hand, the quality label is also awarded to "Mediterranean" produce, such as peppers, courgettes and aubergines. These are grown under glass in Belgium.
