Our growers work solely to quality procedures and are subject to external audits. The consumption of raw materials, energy, natural resources, etc. is expensive. They must, therefore, be used with due diligence. Even from a cost point of view there is nothing wrong with sustainability, quite the contrary.
We are convinced that our production methods more than match those of our competitors. The demand for sustainable products should consequently represent an opportunity rather than a threat, providing we adopt a transparent and critical approach to our production methods and communicate openly about this issue. Sustainability will never be finalised. We will regularly have to take steps to improve or adjust existing operating methods.
Sustainability is about permanent improvement.
